1/2 cup almonds
1 mandarin orange peel
3 cups flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 cup margarine
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup honey

Directions:
Directions:
Chop the almonds and mandarin orange peel and set aside. Sift the dry ingredients together. Beat margarine, sugar, eggs and honey until thick and light. Gently fold in the dry ingredients. Then mix in the almonds and peel. Pour into a 15 1/2" x 10 1/2" x 1" pan and bake at 350 F for 25 - 30 minutes till slightly brown. Cool. Meantime, blend 1/2 cup icing sugar, 1 tbsp water and 1 tbsp lemon juice. Spread onto slightly cooled cake and cut into diamonds.
