2 cups water
1 cup raisins
1 cup walnuts, chopped
2 1/2 cups flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp ground cloves
3/4 cup butter or margarine
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
3 eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Boil raisins in water until soft. Drain off water, chop and set aside. Sift all dry ingredients. Cream butter or margarine and sugar, adding 1 egg at a time. When mixed and fluffy add dry ingredients. Fold in chopped raisins and walnuts. Drop 1 tsp of cookie batter 2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400º F for 7 minutes.
