1 onion, chopped
1 1/2 - 2 lbs stew beef
1/4 cup seasoned flour to coat meat
1 - 14 oz can tomatoes
2 tbsp mustard
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp cherry or blackcurrant jam
2 cloves crushed garlic (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Trim excess fat off the stew meat then lightly season with salt and pepper. Toss stew meat in seasoned flour. Fry stew meat in a large frying pan until brown. Remove any excess oil and add tomatoes with juice, mustard and mix well. Add honey, jam and crushed garlic, stir well. Transfer to a casserole dish and bake at 350º F for 2 1/2 hours until meat is tender. Note: This recipe could also be used with pork or chicken.
