Italian Bar Cookie Recipe

5 eggs
2 cups sugar
3 cups flour
1/2 lb. butter
anise flavor or seeds (approx. 1 T) or lemon
vanilla extract (approx. 1 T)

Directions:
Directions:
Soften butter. Add sugar. Cream together on low.
Add 1 egg at a time until blended.
Add flavors, then flour last.

Grease and flour (or use Pam) a large cookie sheet
Bake 350 F for 25 to 30 minutes until golden.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Leave in pan to cool and cut into bars.
