6 green peppers
3/4 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. seasoned bread crumbs
2 T. dried onions
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. ground oregano
1/2 c. minute rice
1 can tomato soup-divided
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
3 slices sharp cheese

Cut tops from peppers, clean out insides. Cook in boiling water for 5 minutes, remove from water, sprinkle insides with salt. Mix ground beef, bread crumbs, onions, salt, pepper, oregano, rice. Add tomato soup, reserving 1/2 cup. Mix together, spoon into peppers, stand peppers upright in baking dish. To remaining soup, add Worcestershire sauce and 1/2 c. water, mix; pour over and around peppers. Cover, bake at 375º for 50-60 minutes. Cut cheese slices in half diagonally and place on each pepper. Return to oven until cheese melts. I also like to use pepper jack cheese.
