2 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 tablespoons flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 cup milk
1 can peas (drained)
1 can carrots (drained) or cook fresh carrots which I normally do

option---2 cans peas and carrots drained

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in saucepan over low heat. Blend in flour, salt and pepper. Cook over low heat, stirring until mixture is smooth and bubbly. Remove from heat. Stir in milk.. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir for 1 minute.

Add vegetables and heat until warm
