2 lbs ground beef
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
1 medium onion, chopped
1 tsp. salt
½ tsp. garlic powder
½ tsp. pepper
2 cups (16 oz) sour cream
1 loaf (1 lb) French bread
3 tblsp. Butter or margarine, softened
3 cups (12 oz) shredded Swiss cheese
1 med. Green pepper, chopped
2 med. Tomatoes, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
In a large skillet, cook the beef, mushrooms and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the salt, garlic powder, and pepper. Remove from the heat; stir in sour cream.
Cut French bread in half lengthwise. Place on a baking sheet. Spread butter over cut halves; top with the meat mixture and half of the cheese. Spread green peppers and tomatoes on top of cheese and meat mixture. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted. Yield: 8 servings.
