1 yellow or chocolate cake mix
1 pkg instant vanilla pudding
1 c water
1/3 c oil
3 eggs
1/2 tsp salt

Filling:
1 c water
5 TBSP flour
1 c sugar
1/2 c margarine
1/2 c crisco
2 tsp vanilla
Few drops almond extract

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Mix cake ingredients together very well. Pour into a 9x13 pan lined with wax paper. Bake for 45-60 minutes or until done. Turn out of pan on lid or tray. Split cake with a strong string or dental floss lengthwise. Put top half back into pan.
Mix the filling as follows: In a small saucepan cook flour and water until thick, stirring constantly. Cool this. Add the rest of the filling ingredients. Beat until thick and light, like whipped cream. Spread over 1 half of cake and then place the other half of cake on top. Serve. Freezes well.
