Personal Notes:
My mom always listened to a radio program called Kichen Klatter during the week. It was broadcast out of Shennandoah, Iowa. The Driftmier family shared their daily lives and recipes with their listeners, many of whom were farm wives like my mom. They were the virtual neighbors next door during the 40's, 50's and 60's and beyond. I remember many conversations Mother and her friends had discussing what was new in Driftmeir family's lives. And of course there was always a new recipe to try. This is one our family saw as a real winner!
