1 1/2 cups flour...
2 t baking powder...
2 t ground cinnamon...
1/4 t salt...
1 1/2 cups firmly, packed brown sugar...
1/2 cup butter, 1 stick, melted...
2 eggs...
1 T pure vanilla extract...
1 cup, coarsely chopped pecans...
1 package caramels, unwrapped, 14 oz. size...
1/4 cup milk...

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees...
Mix flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon together...
In a large bowl mix eggs, brown sugar, melted butter , vanilla and chopped pecans together, mixing well...
Add the flour mixture and mix all very well...
Reserve 1 cup of this mixture and spread the rest into a 9 by 13, greased baking dish that is foil lined...
Bake in oven 15 minutes or until batter is firm...

Microwave the caramels and milk for 2 minutes, stir and continue to microwave until all is melted and combined with milk...
Cool 5 minutes or until mixture is thickened...
Pour this on top of baked mixture and spread to within 1/2 inch of edges ...
Drop remaining batter by the tea spoonful over the caramel mixture...
Cut through the batter several times with a knife to create a marble effect...
Return to oven and bake 18 minutes or until center is set...
Cool in baking dish, lift out and cut into squares...

Serve with vanilla ice cream....

Very good if just warmed in microwave 15 to 20 seconds before adding ice cream...
