1/2 cup margarine or butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 egg
2 egg yolks (save the whites)
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup miniature marshmallows

Topping:
1 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
2 egg whites

Directions:
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, cream margarine or butter and sugar. Beat in egg and egg yolks. Stir in flour, baking powder and salt; mix well. Pour into a greased 9x13-inch pan; sprinkle nuts, chocolate chips and marshmallows over the batter. Set aside. In a medium bowl, beat egg whites until stiff; fold in brown sugar. Carefully spread over the top. Bake in a preheated 350º oven for 30 to 40 minutes. Cut into bars when cooled.

Many years ago, mom's cousin Betty made these chocolaty bar cookies. They were heavenly and when we found her handwritten recipe card, we knew it had to be added into the cookbook. They really are special...so thank you Betty B. for sharing this great recipe with mom!
