Cover chicken with water and salt. Cook until chicken is tender. Remove chicken and cool. De-bone.

8 to 10 cups of chicken broth. Add 4 to 5 chicken bullion cubes (if the chicken is fat you will not need the bullion cubes). 1 can of cream of chicken soup
 

Dumplings

2 c. flour

2 tsp. baking powder

1 tsp. salt

⅓ c. shortening

½ c. milk

2 qt. chicken broth

3 c. cooked chicken

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening. Add milk to make stiff dough. Roll out thin and cut in 1-inch squares. Sprinkle lightly with flour and drop into slow boiling chicken broth. Keep broth just bubbling. Do not stir. You may need to move them-do so gently

When all dumplings have been dropped, cover and simmer until done. *Crock pot cook about 20 could be longer
