1/2 C. Butter
1/2 C. Crisco
1 1/2 C. Sugar
1 Egg
1/4 C. Water
1 tsp. Vanilla
1/3 C. Cocoa Powder
1 1/4 C. Flour
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
1/2 tsp. Salt
3 C. Oatmeal
1 C. Chocolate Chips

Cream the shortening, butter, sugar, egg, water and vanilla.
Add the cocoa and beat in.
Stir or sift the flour, soda and salt together, then stir into the batter.
Stir in the oatmeal and chips.

Drop cookies onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 for 10-12 mins.
Yields approx. 6 dozen cookies, depending on size.
