Grits (4servings)
1 lb shrimp
1 green pepper, julienned
1 sm/med onion, julienned
1 pkg Andouille sausage, sliced
Broth (I use chicken), as needed
1 pkg mushrooms, sliced
Salt & Pepper, to taste
1/4 c flour
2 T oil
1 clove garlic, minced
3 strips bacon, cut into 1/2" pieces

Directions:
Directions:
1) Peel, devein, & wash shrimp - pat dry - lightly coat with flour and set aside
2) Cook grits according to package (for 4 servings), set aside
3) In large nonstick skillet, fry bacon pieces - add onions and peppers - fry about 3 minutes - add mushrooms and cook additional 3 minutes - remove to bowl and set aside
4) Add oil to skillet, cook shrimp until lightly browned - add meat & veggies back to pan with shrimp - add garlic - mix well
5) Stir in broth (1/4 c at a time - desired amount), this will be your gravy - add flour or cornstarch to thicken
6) Salt and pepper to taste
7) Plate grits and top with shrimp mixture - serve and enjoy
