1 (14 oz) bag caramels
2/3 C. evaporated milk, divided
1 (18 1/2 oz) package German Chocolate Cake Mix
3/4 C. butter or margarine, softened
1 C. chopped nuts
1 (6 oz) package semisweet chocolate morsels

Directions:
Directions:
Combine caramels and 1/3 cup milk in top of double boiler. Cook, stirring con-stantly until caramels are melted. Remove from heat.
Combine dry cake mix, 1/3 cup milk, butter and nuts; stir until dough holds together. Press one-half of cake mixture into a greased 13X9X2 pan. Bake at 350 for 6 minutes.
Sprinkle chocolate morsels over crust. Pour caramel mixture over chocolate morsels, spreading evenly. Crumble remaining cake mixture over caramel mixture. Return to oven and bake 15-18 minutes. Chill 30 minutes; cut into small bars.
