1 c. cocoa
2 c. boiling water
1 c. oleo or butter
4 eggs
2 1/2 c sugar
11/2 tsp vanilla
2 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 baking soda powder

Stir cocoa and boiling water until smooth, set aside for later.
Combine butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Beat on high for 5 minutes set aside.
Combine flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder.
Combine to sugar mixture, flour mixture and cocoa mixture.
Beat on low speed do not over beat.
Pour into 3 greased and floured pans.
Bake 35 to 30 mins.
Remove and cool completely.
Spread filling between layers. Spread frosting over top and sides. Garnish with pecans.
