2 cups flour
4 tsp Baking powder
1 tsp salt
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter flavored shortening
2 cups mashed sweet potatoes
1/4 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
Cut in shortening until mixture is the consistency of cornmeal.
Mix in the sweet potatoes and milk and mix well.
Turn out on a floured surface and knead lightly.
Roll out to 1/2 inch thick and cut with a 2 inch biscuit cutter.
Place on greased baking sheet or parchment paper.
Bake at 450 for 12 - 15 minutes. Brush tops with butter.
