1 1/2 c butter
1 1/2 c sugar
2 beaten eggs
3/4 t cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 tsp soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 1/8 c unsweetened applesauce
3 c flour
1 1/2 # gum drops cut up ( no black)
(she uses a little less as she adds dried fruit
1# candied dried fruit and slice pineapple
3 c walnuts chopped large pieces

Mix all together and bake 1 1/2 hours at 250-75 degrees
Makes 2 loaves

Greae and flour pans....use parchment paper for bottom and grease and flour paper as well.
