3 pounds ground chuck
1 egg
1 cup oats
1 package Onion soup mix
1 cup V-8 juice
ketchup for top spread (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all together except ketchup. Shape into skillet (12 inch iron skillet preferred pan.) Spread ketchup on top (or may leave ketchup off). Bake 350 degrees for approximately one hour. Pour off excess grease and slice to size desired. May add chopped green pepper and onion if desired. Another sauce for the top is;
4 ounces tomato sauce, 2 tablespoons mustard, 2 tablespoons brown sugar and 2 tablespoons white vinegar. Tastes like barbecue.
