1 c shortening
½ c sugar
½ c packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 ½ tsp vanilla
½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 3/4 c flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together shortening, sugars, eggs and vanilla thoroughly. Blend dry ingredients together. Mix into shortening mixture. Mix thoroughly with hands. Press and mold into a long smooth roll about 2 1/2 “ in diameter. Wrap in wax paper. Chill several hours. Slice cookie dough and bake at 400 degrees for 6-8 minutes.
