Ingredients:  
c shortening
1 c granulated sugar
1 lemon rind
2 eggs
c milk
1 1/2 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
tsp salt

Topping:
c granulated sugar
juice of 1 lemon

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add lemon rind, eggs and milk. Add sifted dry ingredients. Place in greased loaf pans. Bake 50-60 minutes. Remove from pan. Mix c sugar and lemon juice. Spoon over loaf while still warm.
