3/4 c shortening
1 c brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 c molasses
2 1/4 c flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp ginger

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Cream shortening and sugar together. Beat in egg and molasses. Add dry ingredients. Chill dough. Form balls and roll in sugar. Do not flatten. Bake 8-10 minutes.
