20 oz. tomato puree (I used finely chopped fresh tomatoes)
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cut water
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 cup butter, melted
2 cups fresh white bread, cut into squares.

Directions:
Directions:
Bring sugar, salt, water and puree to a boil. Place bread in baking dish. Pour melted butter over bread; add hot tomato sauce. Bake in 375 oven for 45 minutes. (9 x 13 dish for 1 hour possibly)
