Garlic, chopped fine
a few anchovy
oil
vinegar
lettuce(curly cabbage sliced very fine, endive lettuce, or cauliflower can also be used)

Directions:
Directions:
Fry garlic and anchovies in oil, pour in vinegar and let boil.
Pour over lettuce.

I found this recipe in Grandma Grace's recipe box. She didn't include any amounts of the ingredients to add, this one you will have to add according to taste....be prepared to smell like garlic for a few days :)
