1 can Angel flake coconut
8 oz. dates, chopped
1/2 lb. butter or margarine, softened
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda

1 c. orange juice

Bake 1 hour and 45 minutes at 300.
Before removing from pan, mix the orange juice and confectioner's sugar. Pour over cake. Let cool before removing from pan.
