1 pound ground beef and/or sausage
1/2 tsp pepper
2 cloves minced garlic
2 TBS soy sauce
1 large chopped onion
2 green onions, chopped
2 TBS flour
1/4 cup water
2 pounds bean sprouts
1 box Lumpia wrappers
1 1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
In a saucepan, brown meat with garlic and onion. Add bean sprouts, salt, pepper, and soy sauce and cook for 2 minutes. Drain and cool thoroughly. Combine flour and water to make paste. To make lumpia, place 2 tablespoons filling on a wrapper. Fold nearest edge of wrapper over filling; fold left and right sides toward center. Roll tightly toward open edge. Seal and paste. Heat oil to 375 F. Fry lumpia until golden brown; drain. Serve with lumpia dipping sauce.

From Ann Peecook. This is an excellent dish, but it takes a lot of preparation time and effort. Well worth it, and we freeze the left-overs. Great for the cold winter months.
