1 stick butter or margarine, melted
1 egg
1 tbsp. all purpose flour
1 c. sugar (less if apples are sweet)
6 apples
1 tsp. lemon juice
6 slices of bread

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together melted butter, egg, flour, and sugar. Set aside. Slice apples and put in greased 7x11 or 8x8 baking dish. Do not sweeten apples. Trim crusts away and cut bread into finger-sized strips. Place strips close together over apples. Pour butter and sugar mixture over everything. Bake at 350º for about 35 minutes or until brown. You may use peaches (8 or 9) or 1 qt. of strawberries in this cobbler.
