Directions:
This cake is supposed to be heavy. Bake in greased bunt pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes (or until toothpick comes out clean).

After cake has baked for about 55 minutes, combine and boil the topping ingredients.

When cake is done, remove from oven. Poke several holes all over the top of the cake. Pour hot topping over hot cake. Let cake set for 2 hours then remove from pan by turning over one way onto a plate and then turning back over so that the topping is on top of the cake.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This is one of my favorite fall cakes. My dear friend, Carol Maleti, used to make this cake for special occasions at work. I love this recipe and love to make it for my family and friends. It not only is delicious, but it brings back wonderful memories of my dear friend.
