Green Bean Casserole Recipe

4 packages French cut green beans
1 8-ounce can chopped mushrooms
1 onion, chopped fine
1/2 stick butter or margarine
3/4 pound sharp cheddar cheese shredded
1/2 cup sour cream (or more to taste)
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 5-ounce can water chestnuts, chopped
1 can onion rings

Cook beans as directed on package, drain well.
Melt butter and sautÚ onions.
Mix all ingredients together and put in greased casserole.
Top with onion rings and bake 30-40 minutes at 350║.
