Ingredients:
Ingredients:
5 lbs. Yukon gold potatoes, chopped into bite size pieces
1 cup ketchup (more if desired to make broth red)
2 T hot sauce (Texas Pete)
1 T garlic powder
2 T salt
2 T black pepper
1 tsp. crushed red pepper
1/2 cup butter

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a large stockpot. Cover with water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender (about an hour or so). Do not overcook until potatoes are mushy.

Adjust salt and pepper to taste. (I didn't have but one tablespoon of Texas Pete the first time I cooked these and they were spicy enough for me.) You can make these ahead of time and refrigerate overnight to absorb the spice. Just heat and serve the next day.
