1 cup shortening
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 cup 3-minute brand oats
2 cups sifted flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp soda

1 tsp sugar
1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugars. Add eggs and oats and beat well. Sift flour, salt and soda and blend into first mixture. Chill dough. Roll into balls the size of small walnuts. Dip in a mixture of the sugar and cinnamon. Bake on un-greased baking sheet at 375° for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
