Soup/Three Cheese Tortellini soup Recipe

1/2 pound ground beef
1/4 cup flour
3 cups strained tomatoes
2 cups milk
1/2 cup shredded asiago cheese
1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp kosher salt
Black pepper to taste
2 cups frozen tortellini
4 slices provolone cheese

1. Brown beef in soup pot and drain. Over medium-medium /high heat add flour and stir to coat beef.
2. Slowly strain tomatoes, allowing mixture to thicken. When tomatoes are incorporated slowly add milk, again allow the mixture to thicken before each addition.
3. Add spices, salt,/pepper, shredded cheese. While cheese is melting, add frozen tortellini and allow to soften.
4. To serve: Pour soup in an oven safe crock/soup bowl and top with a slice of provolone cheese.
Place under broiler until cheese is melted and bubbly.
