5 1/3 cups ground almonds
3 3/4 cup icing sugar
3 egg whites
1 cup icing sugar
1 egg white
1 tsp almond flavouring

Directions:
Directions:
Mix almonds and icing sugar and add sufficient egg white to make the mixture firm and even. Grease kransekakke pans. Press dough through a forcing bag. Bake at 300º for 20 minutes.
Combine second amount of icing sugar, egg white, and flavouring to make icing. Drizzle icing to stick rings together. Decorate with small flowers, flags, etc.
To serve remove a bottom ring and break off pieces.

Trudy had this as a wedding cake. For birthdays you can make the rings match the years i.e. 14 years old, 14 rings.
