1 box (3oz) cherry gelatin
1 1/4 cups hot water
1 pint vanilla ice cream
1/3 cup toasted slivered almonds
1/4 cup chopped maraschino cherries
1 baked pie shell, cooled

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve gelatin in hot water. Add ice cream but tablespoonful, stirring until melted. Chill until thickened but not set, about 20 minutes. Fold in almonds and cherries. Pour into pie shell. Chill until firm. Top with additional whole cherries.
