8 medium chicken breast halves, skinned
2 teaspoons dried basil, crushed
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
½ cup reduced sodium chicken broth
½ cup fat-free half and half
4 teaspoons cornstarch
½ (8 ounce package) reduced fat cream cheese (Neufchatel), cubed
½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese (2 ounce)

Directions:
1. Place chicken in a 5 to 6 quart slow cooker. Sprinkle chicken with basil, salt and pepper. Add chicken broth.
2. Cover and cook on low heat setting for 5 to 6 hours or on high heat setting for 2½ to 3 hours. Transfer chicken to serving platter, reserving cooking liquid. Cover chicken with foil to keep warm.
3. For sauce, in a small saucepan combine half and half and cornstarch. Stir in cooking liquid. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and bubbly. Stir in cream cheese and Parmesan cheese. Cook and stir just until the cheese melts. Spoon the sauce over the chicken.
