1 firm head red cabbage (about 2 lb)
1/4 c coarse pickling salt
4 c Heinz White Vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Shred cabbage with sharp knife. Add salt and mix well. Cover and allow to stand 12 hours or overnight. Drain in colander and rinse well with cold water. Combine vinegar and sugar and bring to boil. Add drained cabbage and bring to boil (cabbage will turn bright pink). Pack into hot sterilized jars and seal.
