2 c. sugar
2 c. self-rising flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 T. vanilla
1 1/4 c. Wesson oil
4 eggs
3 c. carrots, grated
1 c. nuts, chopped
GLAZE
1 c. sugar
2 T. white Karo syrup
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. soda

Directions:
Directions:
Mix well the dry ingredients, vanilla, oil, and eggs. Add the carrots and nuts. Beat approximately 2 minutes. Pour into a floured and greased tube pan. Bake 1 1/4 hours at 350º.

GLAZE
Mix together all ingredients and cook until foamy, about 5 minutes. Pour over cake while both are still warm.
