Ingredients: 2 c all-purpose flour 2 tbsp sugar 4 tsp baking powder 1 tsp salt 1/4 c butter or margarine
1 c cold milk
1/3 c butter or margarine softened 1 c brown sugar, packed 1 tbsp cinnamon 1/3 c cut up raisins

Directions: |
Directions:In large bowl combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in first amount of butter until crumbly. Make a well in center.
Pour milk into well. Stir to form soft dough adding a bit more milk if needed. Turn out to lightly floured surface. Knead 8 to 10 times. Roll into rectangle about 1/3 inch thick and 12 inches long. Width will vary.
Cream second amount of butter, brown sugar and cinnamon together well. Drop 1 tsp into each of 12 greased muffin cups. Spread the remaining cinnamon mixture over dough rectangle. Sprinkle raisins over top. Roll up as for jelly roll. Mark first then cut into 12 slices. Place cut side down into muffin cups. Bake in 400ºF (200ºC) oven for 20-25 minutes. Turn out on rack. |

Notes: A favorite that I have made my own specialty over the past 30+ years. Gotta make at least 3 dozen at a time. Doesn't seem to matter how much other food is on hand, I don't think there has ever been leftover cinnamon rolls. I think Kevin probably has the record of number of cinnamon rolls eaten at one time!
