Directions:
Start with a box of Jiffy baking mix. Use the shortcake recipe on box for an 8x8 pan, and doubling if you want to make a 9x13 pan. (Grandmas says "I don't follow that recipe." But we think it works with the recipe, maybe adjusted for taste with some of the ingredients.

Roll out the shortcake dough on a floured board (like a pie crust only about a 1/2 in thick). Cover dough with brown sugar, cinnamon & dot with butter. Cover this with sliced apples. Roll up like a jelly roll. This is hard to do as the dough breaks apart. Cut in 1 1/2 or 2 inch slices & place flat side up in a pan that has been sprayed with Pam or otherwise greased.

Make syrup mixture ("I don't use a recipe for that either") Mix some flour, sugar, cinnamon, water & oleo together & boil until thickened. You can add vanilla or red hots.

Pour syrup mix over all & bake at 375º at least 45 min or until done.
