2 cups AP Flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 cup chilled vegetable shortening
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup cold buttermilk

Directions:
Preheat the to 425º. Mix together the flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in the shortening with a pastry blender or your fingers until it forms a meal the small peas. if using your fingers, keep everything cold or the shortening will melt. Stir buttermilk until dough holds together. Knead gentle about 1 minute. Roll dough 1/2 inch thick. With 2 1/2 to 3 inch biscuit cutter, cut dough. Place 1 inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned.
