1/4 C. Butter
1 C. Self-rising flour
3/4 C. Sugar
2 T. Cocoa powder
1/2 C. Milk
1 tsp. Vanilla extract
1 C. Sugar
1/2 C. Cocoa powder
1 1/2 C. Boiling water

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat 350º
Melt butter in 8x8 pan while preheating.
In medium bowl stir together flour, 3/4 C. sugar, and 2 T. of cocoa. Stir in milk and vanilla until smooth. Spoon batter over the melted butter in pan.
Stir together the remaining sugar and cocoa then sprinkle over batter. Slowly pour boiling water over the mixture.
Bake in oven for about 30 minutes until set.

Great with vanilla or coffee ice cream
*Add 1/4 C. chopped walnuts or pecans to batter for variety
*Use a 13x9 pan for a crispier brownie-corner type crust
