Directions:Layer the ingredients in a 9x13 inch glass pan or onto a nice platter with roughly the same measurements. First layer is the refried beans. Spread them out to completely cover the bottom of the dish. Mix the taco seasoning into the sour cream and spread on top of the beans. Then evenly add the guacamole dip, cheese, tomatoes, olives and green onions.
Chill for a few hours or dig right in if you can't wait! Best served with Frito scoops, but just as delicious with tortilla chips. |

Notes: You seriously can't go wrong when you bring this crowd-pleasing fave to a get together! I had one of our youth kids come up to me the other night and say, "50% of the reason I came to youth group tonight was because I was hoping you would bring this dip. I love it so much. It's seriously my favorite food." I told him next time he better say he came for Jesus, and there just happened to be dip.
Bonus - I sent him home with half of one of the two platters I made. I told him for his birthday I would make him a tray of the stuff and put a candle in it, his eyes lit up and he said, "That would be AWESOME!"
Here is my version of this famous appetizer passed on to me from my Mamacita. You can easily make this a 8, 9 or 10 layer dip as well by adding other goodies like jalapeņos, crumbled bacon or cilantro. If you like to add more of one ingredient like more sour cream or olives, then go for it....make it your own.
