1# sweet unsalted butter (melted)

1# strudel leaves

Mix together:

1# ground walnuts
1# ground almonds
1 tsp Allspice
1 tsp Nutmeg
1/2 cup sugar

Syrup:
3 cups sugar
2 cups water
1 Cinnamon stick
Cloves
1 tbsp lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
Butter pan,
7 layers of leaves -
Brush each leaf with melted butter; then sprinkle with nut mixture;

Cut in diamond shapes - place one clove on each diamond
Bake @ 350 degrees for 1 hour

Combine syrup ingredients and boil for 10 minutes
Cool - then pour over Baklava immediately after removing from oven.
Let set for 24 hours.

Place baklava in refrigerator before cutting - makes it easier to cut.
