dried beans
1/3 cup large lima beans
1/4 cup baby limas
1/8 cup kidney beans
1 Tbl.Pinto Beans
1/2 cup Navy beans
1/4 cup lentils
1/4 cup slit peas
2 Tbl. barley
1/2 cup blackeye peas

1 lb. ham hocks or ham
1 large onion,chopped
1 #2 Can Tomatoes
1 tsp. chili powder
juice of 1 lemon
Salt
Pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Wash beans;place in large kettle. Cover with water 2" and add 2 Tbl. salt.Soak overnight,
Drain in the morning. Add 2 quarts water and ham hocks or ham. Bring to boil. Simmer slowly for 3 hours. Add onion and tomatoes.Season with chili powder,juice of lemon and salt and pepper.

Remove ham hocks,cut up ham into pieces and add to above.Simmer slowly for one hour more/
