3 eggs
3 cups sugar
1-1/2 cups oil
2 tsp. vanilla
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
3 cups peeled, diced apples
1 cup chopped walnuts or you can use pecans

TOPPING

1/2 cup margarine or butter
1/4 cup evaporated milk or heavy cream
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
In mixing bowl, beat eggs until light and foamy. Gradually add sugar; blend in oil and vanilla. Combine flour, salt and baking soda, add to eggs. Stir in apples and walnuts. Pour into a well greased 10 inch tube pan. Bake at 350º for 1 hour or tester comes out clean.

TOPPING

Combine all ingredients; boil 3 minutes, stirring constantly.. Pour over warm cake
