3-3/4 c. sugar
1-1/4 c. white Karo syrup
1 c. water
14 - 1/2 t. oil flavoring
Food coloring, if desired
Powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, syrup and water in large saucepan and boil until mixture reaches 300 degrees.

Remove from heat and add flavoring and food coloring.

Pack powdered sugar on cookie trays while mixture is cooking.

Pour hot mixture on trays in strips.

When cool, break into small pieces.

Store in airtight containers.

For several years, I made batches of this candy in different flavors at Christmas.

I filled jelly jars and gave to friends and family.
