2 lbs. Velveeta cheese
2 cans Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies
1 lb. Jimmy Dean hot sausage
1 tbsp. sweet pickle relish
2-3 tbsp. salsa

In a skillet, brown the sausage until thoroughly cooked and crumbly. Place all the ingredients into a crock pot - heat until cheese is completely melted. Goes great with Fritos Scoops ... Enjoy!

Drew is all Texan, a friend and former coworker of mine who entertaining skills put Martha Stewart to shame. Everything he makes is to die for, but it was this cheese dip that he served one Sunday afternoon during football season that had all of us huddled at the crock pot. Couldn't bear to add up the fat and calories, hence the "fat a$$" in the title!
