2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 heaping T. Crisco
1 c. buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients together, and cut in Crisco. Make a well in center of flour mixture, pour in buttermilk, and mix lightly with a fork. Place on floured cloth and knead for about a minute. Roll dough out to about 1/2" thickness and cut with biscuit cutter. Place 1/2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 450º 10 minutes. Makes 12 biscuits.
