WORD ON THE STREET, THIS IS THE COLONAL'S RECIPE!

2 cups of white flour...

2/3 T salt...
1/2 T thyme...
1/2 T dried basil...
1/3 T dried oregano...
1 T celery salt...
1 T black pepper...
1 T dried mustard...
4 T paprika...
2 T garlic salt...
1 T ground ginger...
3 T white pepper...

1 whole chicken, cut up...
Deep fat fryer..
Crisco oil to 1/2 up in cast iron skillet...

Directions:

Mix all dry ingredients together...
Rinse off chicken and pat dry...
Dredge chicken in dry ingredients and set on plate..
Heat oil, to 360 degrees, add chicken, skin side down and cook 12 to 15 minutes, turn and continue to cook until done...
Repeat until all chicken is cooked, keep warm...

Can use the oil, not all, to help make the milk gravy... Serve this with chicken and home-made biscuits... So, so good, yes, it's greasy, too, so it's not fat-free...

Serve with pole beans, mashed potatoes, sliced fresh tomatoes and apple pie for dessert...

Now after the meal take a nap and don't eat another thing that day...

Be sure you serve some vanilla ice cream with the pie!
