1 c. butter
1 3/4 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder


filling:

1 can cherry pie filling
1 tsp. salt
Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, salt, baking powder and flour. Spread 2/3 of dough in 11 x 15 greased pan. Then spread cherry pie filling over dough. Drop remaining dough by teaspoonful on top of cherry pie filling. Bake at 350 for 40 - 45 minutes.


When cool, glaze with 1 1/2 c powdered sugar, 1 tsp almond extract, 3 T milk, 1 T softened margarine
